Bringing the patient’s perspective to the digital health conversation

The Challenge

The Engaged Patient Challenge asked participants to share their digital health story and how they could make an impact by attending the Digital Health Week Forum and 2016 Infoway Partnership Conference. Successful entrants were awarded complimentary registration to the conference, a secured spot to attend the Digital Health Week Forum as well as travel and accommodation to Toronto.

Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges made up of patient and patient advocates.


Twenty-seven engaged patients, caregivers and family members participated in the Engaged Patient Challenge. Five eligible participants received complimentary registration and travel to the Digital Health Week 2016 Public Forum and the 2016 Infoway Partnership Conference. View all entries here.

About Digital Health Week Forum
The Public Forum was a free event on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. It was part of Digital Health Week, which is a week-long series of interactive events designed to spark conversations about digital health. All Canadians were invited to attend the education event in person or virtually to learn more about the role of digital health in making you and your family healthier.

About 2016 Infoway Partnership Conference
Partnership Conference 2016: A Conversation About Digital Health, is an annual event designed to create a forum for knowledge exchange, debate and discussion. This year’s conference focused on three areas: medication management, clinical interoperability and consumer health solutions.
