Sainte-Madeleine, QC – Like many mothers of two, I seem to never have enough time to do all there is to do, so the idea of having to wait for hours in a medical clinic is less than appealing. Being able to register on-line for a consultation in a walk-in clinic and to receive an email confirming I can come within 30 minutes to see a doctor is nothing short of a miracle! Instead of having to sit for hours with a sick child in an overcrowded room, I can pamper him while waiting to be called. It’s so much better for everyone! We can still do our things at home, other patients are not faced with an irritated kid, and nobody transmit their diseases to anyone! I also sometimes had to fill out medical questionnaires on line in view of my annual medical check-up. This is a much appreciated advantage since being at home allows me to go through my agenda and my archived medical reports so my answers are much more accurate and I don’t have to rely on my overburdened mommy memory! l also frequently use online information websites such as Health Canada, Canadian Paediatric Society, PasseportSanté.net and other recognized organizations before deciding if I really need to see a health care provider. Better information enables me to choose the best solution for my children.
