The Ottawa Hospital offers patient-focused health care services to a community of 1.2 million in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. With a focus on providing the best care for their patients, the hospital implemented a computerized provider order entry (CPOE) system which allows e-Requests for Services within the hospital.

The CPOE module allows clinicians to create electronic orders and submit them directly to a destination department to request their services, improving both patient safety and quality of care. Implementing this solution replaces handwritten, paper-based ordering systems that can cause delays and errors, ultimately leading to more timely and accurate care for patients.
